Whale–Plankton Financial Securities Model

Theoretical Concept

This model attempts to describe the ecological relationship between whales and plankton using an economic framework.

K1 → State where plankton is abundant and whale survival is stable K2 → State where whale survival is maintained through whale carcasses after plankton decline

K1 corresponds to a marginal demand curve (MD). K2 corresponds to a marginal income curve (MI).

In financial market interpretation:

MD → Bond market MI → Stock market

Thus, the ecological circulation of whales and plankton can be interpreted as a market circulation within financial systems.
